Perennial Arugula

le sigh, said the farmer about the arugula that rockets to the sky high. and “do you see what I see?” they didn’t. chopped down too soon, before the seeds were left to bloom. the tragedy of modernity and short sighted futures. had she been left to seed, this crop would have created the never ending giving tree of greens. a forest floor of pepper salad. another lesson relearned about taking a pause and step back, hands off, pencils down, and let nature do her thing.

permaculture finds the points of intersection to make the greatest change with the least amount of effort. nature finds a way, and it’s always the path of least resistance. bend and fold and wait, wait, wait.
